This is an animation I made for the heck of it after the original show in 2014.
I was the drummer for the September 2014 debut of "The Music of Junk" at the Vancouver Fringe Festival. After the shows were over, I decided to make an animation of the show as a winter project. At the end of January, I found out about a CG festival called SIGGRAPH that accepts submissions and I saw the festival had a music video category, so I bumped up my planned end-of-February project conclusion one month to make the submission deadline. This is the CG music video result of "1 person, 4 months, an hour here, an hour there".

I was fortunate to perform as original cast in Paul Snider's "Junk! the Musical" (re-tooled as "The Music of Junk") as Jake the drummer.
The musical was written for the Fringe Festival 2014 by Paul Snider, who also built all the instruments. I just showed up with sticks and did my thing.
Here are recent recordings from my place.

On Saturday April 9th 2005, I was asked to play drums on a recording taking place April 12th that the band's regular drummer couldn't make. The recording had to be done before the singer left town that Wednesday. I agreed to help out. Instruments were recorded on the 12th, vocals were dubbed on the 13th.
This song is an original piece written and recorded live off the floor during the recording session at "Charts Rehearsal Studios", located in Vancouver.
No explanation could justify AAAnus of SATAN, but here comes one anyway...
A long time ago, there was a website called MP3.com that accepted user-submitted songs. They categorized by song genre and listed alphabetically by band name. AAAoS was made for the purpose of getting a song in each category at the top of the list. Music was recorded in one take, and the vocals added later, often without the benefit of hearing the music.
