Why mosques should not be allowed on the streets of New York City

There is a lot of chit chat back and forth regarding mosques in NYC as of late, so I feel compelled to chime in like a 4am call to prayer from a minaret…

In my opinion, mosques should not be allowed on the streets of NYC, as people’s faces should be clearly seen. People should not be allowed to hide their face behind a mosque when they get their driver’s license picture taken. People should not be allowed to hide their face behind a mosque when they enter any government facility. People certainly should not be allowed to hide their face behind a mosque when they feel their opinion deserves to be heard. How can we come to trust people who want to hide possible micro-facial-expressions that could show them for the danger they truly are? I say, let them build places of worship to dress and act as their religion dictates, but when on the streets of NYC, they must homogenize and not upset the status quo.

I am told there is a spot open for a muslim house of worship close to the World Trade Center, right smack in the fallout zone, over a toxic waste dump. This would be a great spot for a muslim gathering place, as respect can be paid to the victims of the terror attacks from those most demonized because of the acts of a crazy few. Perhaps Jewish, Catholic and Scientologist houses of worship should be considered for that same vacant block, and people can visit each other’s facilities and have community lunches on the street now and again.
